Abandoned homes

Per the New York Times, the town of Fort Myers Florida has taken it upon itself to maintain the properties of several hundred abandoned homes. As hard times are turning into desperation and fear, people are abandoning their homes at alarming numbers and my community is not immune to this growing problem. My next door neighbor appears to have abandoned his home for several months now and the front yard is littered with signs and notes on the door and several homes up the street, that have been on the market for close to a year, appear more abandoned than for sale.
Are you noticing more abandoned homes in your community? Sound off and let us know...

Billions for war

In yet another disgraceful insult to American citizens, our Emperor Bush, is threatening to veto funding for the US government highway trust fund, which helps fund highway projects across the country.
Per Republican John Mica of the House Transportation committee:

"Unless we act now, each state’s highway programs will experience severe disruptions and thousands
of highway projects may be delayed or canceled."

The failure to fund this program, $ 8 billion dollars for another year of operation, will result in thousands of lost jobs.

To put this in perspective our Regime spends $12 billion dollars a month on operations in Iraq, they paid KBR(a former Haliburton division) $20 billion for supporting our troops in Iraq, and Bush approved $200 billion for war spending in 2008. Yet we cannot fund road repairs or help rebuild the gulf coast because our government is busy funding Haliburton, destabilizing the middle east with wars and blindly sending billions to Israel.

We need Regime change today.

Hypocracy can be funny too

Are you patriotic enough?

As a veteran and a participant in the Iraqi War debacle, I am tired of the Republican Party selling itself as the Party of the patriots.
What is so patriotic about spending Billions of Dollars a month on military contractors while our gulf coast is still in need of help after Katrina?
What is patriotic about sending 1 Billion dollars to the country of Georgia, when so many here in America don't have health insurance?
What is patriotic about giving oil companies tax cuts and NOT supporting alternate energy technologies to make us independent of the middle east and their craziness?
What is patriotic about letting Bin Laden walk free in Pakistan?
What is patriotic about repressing our civil liberties through draconian legislation under the guise of fighting terrorism?
What is patriotic about lying to the American people about WMD's and Iran in order to create wars?
What is patriotic about putting the interest of Israel before the interest of our country?
What is patriotic about invading countries unilaterally without approval or support from Congress?

Abramoff sentenced to 4 years

The WashingtonPost reported that disgraced Republican Lobbyist Jack Abramoff was sentenced to 4 years in prison on various corruption charges that have implicated fellow Republicans such as Tom Delay. The story did not really divulge the full extent of the corruption or his links with the Bush Regime however we do have pictures of the two together and PBS published a video investigation into the stinking affair, which PBS host Bill Moyers calls the worst case since Watergate.

Traitors to us all

Why do we still have troops in Iraq? The Iraqi government wants us out, the American people want us out but the current oligarchy of neo-cons, those despicable men of arrogance and corruption want to enforce the will of America on the democratically elected government of Iraq at the price of American blood. By eliminating the regime of Saddam Hussein and establishing a new government of Iraq the military accomplished all plausible objectives but yet we are being asked to continue risking our lives with no realistic objective or purpose.
I have lost friends to this bullshit war and it served no purpose because we did everything our country asked of us and then some, yet we are still in Iraq. Our blood and death seems of little consequence to our government as we are but pegs in the machine. Our families and most Americans, mourn for our losses while being blinded to the truth of our callous masters who shroud themselves as patriots, wave the flag, and wear patriotic pins, but when it was their turn to serve they hid behind their fathers and wealth, dodging not only a war but their moral responsibilities to our nation.
As a professional soldier we all understood that at the end of the day our lives were forfeit for the needs of our country, but how can we stay quiet when our very government has betrayed us and our Constitution? If I am lucky enough to die honorably and in a noble cause then I welcome the day, but Iraq is neither noble nor honorable.

These men are traitors to our country and constitution:
George W. Bush
Cheney
Rumsfeld
Wolfowitz
Libby
AND ALL OF THE NEOCON CABAL!

To these men we are all sheep and they are the masters of our souls.

The Avarice of our political masters

The avarice of our big money political rulers has no shame, as was exposed when Senator McCain could not even verify how many homes he owns and his statement that you are not rich until you make at least $5 million a year. Politicians have traditionally come from wealth, in a society like America were success is measured by your wealth it is understandable that we elect the most financially successful to positions of power. But the hegemony of the Republican party, this last 8 years, has grown to a cacophony of corruption and abuse that has become a blatant attack upon the middle class by a long list of taxes, draconian laws, and the support for conglomerates that sell themselves as American companies while shifting Americas industrial base and jobs to China and India.

When Bin Laden wanted to strike at the USA he understood that to destroy America you have to attack its economy through the volatility of the stock markets and the dollar, with the intent of causing a recession or depression and effectively eliminating the wealth of our middle class. Our politicians, these men of Avarice, don't need Bin Laden's help in that regard because their wanton grab for power and wealth contains no reservations.

A poem--sort of

The city lives and breaths through the cycles of our awakenings and secret inhibitions, and while we are strangers to one another in our secretive belongings, we are actually identical in every which way, except one; our sight.

Our sight of perception, driven by years of worthless drilling and indoctrination, perceives all our surroundings and our very flesh to the idea of our bindings to this Earth and each other in that cruel mistress of irony; expectation.

Expectation of our future, expectation of our joys, and expectation of what we want seals us to our unhappy fate and yet we know there is more and we reach through the blindness of our hazy past to a reality that is neither permanent nor perceivable yet our only clue to the truth that is sealed behind a wall of boisterous confusion lies some where within.

Within the calamities of our insecurities and failures the little voice of doubt gnaws away at us and jabs, toys and frets upon that stage. A poor player of little significance yet constantly reaching for more while blind of sight, perceiving little, expecting much and holding everything within our player battles onward against the windmills of his imagination as we clumsily bump into each other and stumble across the city of lights.

ORielly and McCain spell out their true agendas

This is like listening to slave owners talk about how they need to import more slaves but they are worried that if they import too many slaves they won't be able to control them.

What is appeasement?

What is appeasement again??? Apparently Kevin James a conservative political commentator and a strong Bush supporter, does not know. This is worth watching for the laugh factor alone.

The implosion of America

Oil is the fuel of our economy and the US Dollar is one of the pillars of the American Empire. If we are cut off from oil or if the value of the US Dollar collapses, then our economy will collapse. Saddam Hussein tried to accept only Euro's for Iraqi oil, something Iran is now doing, and we invaded Iraq shortly there after. Our pre-Iraq invasion rhetoric is being repeated with Iran. With our country so dependent on Oil, not just for driving, but Oil and its by-products touch almost every facet of our economy and society, the current administration feels compelled to take action and save the value of the US Dollar and our supply of oil even if it means War. Another war is being fabricated, in order to save the American economy from implosion, but this war will be different and no one will win. Least of all the American Citizen.

what do you mean by European?

do you mean of European decent, language, culture or just arrived from
Germany and have documentation providing proof of my Aryan ancestory.

And which part of Europe do I have to be from, Eastern, Western,

Why don't you just ask for blonde hair, blues eyes and fair skin.
Atleast that way we know what you are really asking for.

You could try indentured servitude, many europeans were brought over

Dick Cheney as Ghandi in reverse

Pat Buchanan is actively trying to warn us of what is at stake in the upcoming elections. Apathy isn't going to work anymore.

Bombs, dictators, and aborted justice

For Asian countries the nuclear Bomb is the only deterrent from the uninhibited and wanton meddling of American foreign policy at the barrel of the gun. Pakistan, India and China are prime examples of countries that acquired the Bomb and gained diplomatic prestige and respect from the USA. We are not sending a very good message to the rest of Asia and Iran.

For too long American foreign policy has NOT been in the best interest of its citizens or a true reflection of the great American spirit of equality and justice for all. Rather national security interest, lead by the CIA and other secret organizations, are dictating our foreign policy upon other countries. Most of these dealings and policies are stymied by the cold war paranoia battles that have disappeared from the new realities of a modern world but still shape and fashion institutions like the CIA.

How many dictators have these secret government institutions supported directly or otherwise only on the premise that the dictator was good for our national security regardless of the egregious excess of violence and corruption that they represented.

A very short List of dictators the CIA has supported in the name of protecting American citizens:

Shah of Iran
General Musharraf of Pakistan
Colonel Hugo Banzer of Bolivia
General Augusto Pinochet of Argentina
General Manuel Noriega of Panama
Fugencio Batista of Cuba
Trujillo of the Dominican Republic

The list is far longer than this but I became depressed after I read all of their despicable names.

7 worthless things the Army taught me and 3 things I learned that saved me

After ten years of service in the US Army, numerous deployments and two war zones this is a short list of all the worthless things I learned:

  • How to conduct an ambush, raid, attack, company defense, and reconnaissance. This is cool stuff to know if your life is like a Rambo movie, but in real society, it does not even make for an interesting conversation.

  • How to foot march 12 miles with a 45 pound pack under 3 hours. This is totally worthless.

  • How to navigate through the woods, day or night, with a compass and map. This skill would come in handy if I lived in the woods and I was being chased by some crazed maniac bent on cutting my head off.

  • How to handle prisoners. You make them squat on the floor, and place their hands on their heads, and make sure you keep them quiet and separated. If they begin talking, gag them. Don’t leave one soldier alone with them for a long period of time because the prisoners will probably end up dead or abused.

  • Once you have been awake for more than 3 days straight you become so exhausted that even the fear of death fades.

  • Killing a man for the first time really does make you want to vomit, but the more you do it the less it bothers you.

  • When death is close your hands get clammy and you get very anxious

The worthwhile things I learned which saved me:

  • Life is a gift granted in order for us to come closer to the eternal consciousness that is Gods thought.

  • Politicians, Generals and News Reporters have dangerous egos that if we do not check, will destroy us all.

  • The purpose of life is to LOVE, love ourselves, love the Earth, and love every fiber of this universe.

Habeaus Corpus and other meaningless Latin terms

Habeaus Corpus-(Latin) "you have the body" Prisoners often seek release by filing a petition for a writ of habeas corpus. A writ of habeas corpus is a judicial mandate to a prison official ordering that an inmate be brought to the court so it can be determined whether or not that person is imprisoned lawfully and whether or not he should be released from custody. …
In Brown v. Vasquez, 952 F.2d 1164, 1166 (9th Cir. 1991), cert. denied, 112 S.Ct. 1778 (1992), the court observed that the Supreme Court has "recognized the fact that`[t]he writ of habeas corpus is the fundamental instrument for safeguarding individual freedom against arbitrary and lawless state action.' Harris v. Nelson, 394 U.S. 286, 290-91 (1969). " Therefore, the writ must be "administered with the initiative and flexibility essential to insure that miscarriages of justice within its reach are surfaced and corrected." Harris, 394 U.S. at 291.

In the Supreme Court ruling regarding Guantamo Detainees, the detainees have the right to file writ of habeas corpus as a counterbalance to the current administrations attempt to limit individual freedoms.

Per the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists , congress empowered the President:
“to use all necessary and appropriate force
against those . . . he determines planned, authorized, committed, or
aided the terrorist attacks . . . on September 11, 2001.”

Nearly 7 years after the September 11 attacks, they continue to bring in new detainees, nameless souls from countless countries and we do not know who they are or what connection they have with September 11. Detained under the guise of the “War on Terror”, a war with no real objective or plausible end they will be held indefinitely for the rest of their lives.

Where is the proof of their involvement with September 11, and can we trust the government when it says that they are terrorist.

Moreover, how long before the citizens of this country are classified as “Terrorist”, enemy combatants, and held without trial? Oh that is right, it is has already happenned with Jose Padilla and who knows how many others.

Jose Padilla was detained for years with no charges against him and he was tortured to the point that when his criminal trial finally commenced he was mentally unfit to stand trial. Padilla was sentenced to 17 years and 4 months after 5 years of detention, for conspirring to murder, kidnap and maim people overseas. Isn't that what our government is doing.

Stop the war with Iran

Saddly we in the United States are unaware that we are already at war with Iran. Not just a war of words but we are conducting black ops operations across the border with Iran and actively supporting insurgent groups within Iran. Ofcourse the response from Iran is to fund, train, and lead attacks against American soldiers in Iraq while at the same time attempting to increase their military capabilities at home and abroad by funding groups like Hamas. This is a dangerous game that can easily spiral out of control into another open war and the destruction of America as we know it. Open ended armed confrontation with Iran will have a devastating affect on the price and supply of oil to our Economy and drive this Nation into an economic depression and the suppession of our constituional rights under more anti-terror legislation.

All of this can be avoided at no cost in blood or the American tax payer. Our leaders could just SIT DOWN AND TALK!,.,., that is it, they just need to talk. It is a sad revelation that our leaders, the educated and wealthy elite of this country, are too proud and indingent to save this Nation from their own pretentious delusions.

"The United States would have a better chance of success if the White House abandoned its threats of military action and its calls for regime change...A successful approach to Iran has to accommodate its security interests and ours. Neither a U.S. air attack on Iranian nuclear facilities nor a less effective Israeli one could do more than merely set back Iran's nuclear program. In either case, the United States would be held accountable and would have to pay the price resulting from likely Iranian reactions. These would almost certainly involve destabilizing the Middle East, as well as Afghanistan, and serious efforts to disrupt the flow of oil, at the very least generating a massive increase in its already high cost. The turmoil in the Middle East resulting from a preemptive attack on Iran would hurt America and eventually Israel, too. Given Iran's stated goals -- a nuclear power capability but not nuclear weapons, as well as an alleged desire to discuss broader U.S.-Iranian security issues -- a realistic policy would exploit this opening to see what it might yield."-Zbigniew Brzezinski and Lt. General William Odom (U.S. Army Retired), "A Sensible Path on Iran," The Washington Post, May 26, 2008.

please watch Zeitgeist the Movie

Have you ever felt that something was going on with our goverment and with our society that seemed out of place and strange? Do you feel that sometimes the strange decisions our government makes has some deeper purpose and we are just chatle for some unknown truth...wake up! watch this video, please watch this video...
Zeitgeist the Movie

"Zeitgeist" refers to the ethos of a select group of people, that express a particular world view which is prevalent at a particular period of socio-cultural progression

Christianities long lost roots

I remember sitting in an ancient religions History class and our professor recounting the Roman Mysteries and the fable of Dionysis. Dionysis was born of a virgin on December 25th, walked on water, had 12 disciples and was crucified and resurrected 3 days later. Dionysis was also depicted as a crucified figure upon the cross by his followers and he was a favorite of Roman soldiers 200-300 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. Our professor then went on to show a lot of other similarities between Dionysis and Jesus and how Christianity was historically an off-shoot of progressive Judaism and Mystery cult of Dionysis. This is a well known fact that has been around for hundreds of years but many academics have not pushed the issue for fear of retribution by mainstream Christian groups. I thought that it was wrong for the Academic circles to restrict this knowledge, until a very angry Christian stood up and said “this isn’t in my Bible, this isn’t what I was taught in Bible school, and this is all lies and blasphemy” and very angrily stormed out of the class. The professor then completely ended the discussion and we never explored the subject again. It is a self imposed censorship of the truth.

But now more people are seeing the truth and publishing it in dramatic fashion:

100 years of War and John McCain

I grant that this video is not impartial and greatly critical of John McCain but around the 6 minute point McCain cleary states something along the lines that "I disagree with what the majority of Americans want"
What crazyness is that? These intrenched Senators feel that they are very much above their constituency and above the laws of the Republic. They are mad with power and determined to drive this nation into the ground and all of us with it for their own vanity and glory...That is what happened to ROME.

The internet is the only way for all of us to reach out and share the truth.

Hillary Clinton predicts Obama's assasination

This commentary is incredible for two reasons:
1. a mainstream news agency actually attacking Hillary Clinton's comments and power hungry race to the White House
2. And that basically she is still running for President because she thinks Obama is going to get assasinated.

Is she predicting it or is she threating it!

Shame on you Hillary, Shame on you!

Pastor Hagee- taking Christianity to extremes

This is footage from the Alex Jones show on Pastor Hagee. John MacCain was happily receiving endorsements from Hagee a few days ago until it was disclosed that Hagee said Hitler was sent by God to inflict the Holocaust on the Jews in order to bring about the creation of Israel.

Pastor Hagee also said that Katrina was an act of God to punish New Orleans and a Gay pride parade that was about to happen. MacCain didn't seem bothered by that remark though...I guess bringing Hitler into it was a bit much.

I have listened to a few of Pastor Hagee's sermons and I found him to be very convincing in an old testament, kill your son or feel my wrath kind of way. The man is scary, but most scary of all are the throngs of mindless drones following the pide piper of the Rapture.

Mr. Ahmadinejad's Blog and my stupid question

We have all seen the pictures and heard the strange rhetoric espoused by the President of Iran Mr. Ahmadinejad. But what I think is fascinating is that he has a personal Blog and apparently is fielding questions from around the world.

I have so many questions to ask that I can’t contain myself. But the most pressing question I have is concerning the return of Mahdi. Mahdi will return in the end of times and unite the Islamic world under his leadership for 7 years and will herald the second coming of Jesus Christ. Yes, I said herald the second coming of Jesus Christ, the Muslims believe in Jesus Christ as a Prophet and revere his Mother the Virgin Mary almost as much as the Catholics. These are things that most of us in the West are grossly ill informed about and it seems Mr. Ahmadinejad is reaching out to us. But what is really strange is that Mr. Ahmadinejad has begun stating that his actions and political decisions are being guided my Mahdi himself, even though he hasn’t appeared yet. It all sounds incredibly strange, but I am going to ask him if it is true and see if the question gets posted.

the many faces of Appeasment

You have to love the irony that just a few days after President Bush attempted to label Mr. Obama an appeaser to terrorist in the Israeli Kenneset, Israel announced that it would renew its diplomatic discussions with Syria. This is the same Syria that Israel bombed a few years back because it was trying to secretly build nuclear weapons with assistance from North Korea.

North Korea is on the list of State supporters of Terrorism , but our current administration is actively conducting negotiations with North Korea in order to divert a possible nuclear confrontation with the rogue Hermit Kingdom. Why can we sit down and negotiate with North Korea or Syria but not Hamas? The current administrations policies towards the Middle East are contradictory and hypocritical. Its a shame that the greatness of America is being wasted by the provincial neo-con agenda.

Failed foreign policies toward Cuba

The Cuban Embargo is utterly ridiculous. We speak and engage diplomatically with the communist countries of China, North Korea, Laos, and Vietnam but we steadfastly hold on to this Cold War embargo because a few influential Cuban Americans wish to economically and politically cripple the island of Cuba. An American President who was truly beholden to the interest of the United States of America would understand the great economic and political benefits of tearing down the embargo. Instead, we get President Bush and McCain basing foreign policy on the petty wants of Florida's provincial constituency. We need a President who can be above the fray of the petty squable between Cuba and its bretheren. Atleast Mr. Obama has been brave enough to tell the truth even if it cost him the Cuban vote.
